Just because something costs money does not mean it adds value.

Cost does not equal value.  Especially on business systems meant to “manage process” that really only make disconnected managers feel like they have a degree of control the work of others.

System cost does not equate to value which is often why procurement processes fail to achieve their desired results.  Too much focus on cost or potential capabilities often leads to on-going failure because it prevents people from doing the job they are paid to do that improves and drives the actual business.
